Madeleine threw a fit the other evening because she couldn't find "Goodnight Moon." She had taken our small hardcover copy to bed the night before (?), and as soon as we found it, she was ready for bed, and went willingly. Earlier that day, she had been harassing Mr. Kitty, and when he took a swipe at her, she shook a finger at him (not the middle one) and said, "Bad dog!"

What was this video? Oh yeah, we took it this morning (March 23rd, 2011). Last night Madeleine and I were playing with my socks (like sock puppets) and I put one on my hand and said "Hello, how are you?". To my surprise, Madeleine responded without answering my question. She did emulate the 'How are you', part, at least we think. We got her to put the sock on again this morning and repeat the feat... what do you think?

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo, how about you, you you? Grandpa Joe was here last weekend and bought us a family zoo membership for the year! To put this in context, this was our first visit to cousin Angie's apartment. Madeleine had a blast playing with the toys Angie had bought, and apparently checking herself out... great sippy-cup form, Madeleine!

We had company over for dinner last week, and it was the first time we'd really seen Madeleine really playing interactively with a friend! I'm sure she does at daycare, but this was fun for us to see!
